Originally from Charlotte, NC, Kim graduated from East Carolina University, majoring in fine arts and design. After managing a prominent art gallery in Charlotte for 7 years, Kim began a 16-year career with Alltel Communications, holding various management positions in several states on the east and west coasts.

In 2009, Kim combined her life-long love for real estate, design and home remodeling to create her company, 42nd Street Investments, LLC. The firm specializes in purchasing government and lender-owned homes, rehabbing and reselling, mostly to first-time home buyers.
